I marvel that my grandchildren grow so quickly. My daughter is astounded that her son’s clothes are too small in just a couple weeks. And every time they come to visit, they seem to have mastered some new skill or learned a new word or phrase. My grandson today is not the same boy he was yesterday. He has grown, matured and changed. Because his change is so dramatic, it’s easily perceived.

But that’s true for us all. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says that if anyone is “in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.”  I am not the same man I was yesterday. Because I am in Christ, I am a new creature. I am a new creature today and will be a new(er) creature tomorrow.

Both the Bible and common sense tell us that people of different ages can handle different foods. A baby can’t eat a pizza; a baby’s diet must be restricted to milk. In time, that child can enjoy LaRosa’s pizza. As we age, we can digest different foods.  As we  mature, we become new.

Perhaps that’s why so many come back to attend another RLI conference. They are new creatures. They’re not the same people who attended a conference a year or so ago. And because they’re newer/more mature, they’re ready to digest more meaty truth.  If you’ve not been to an RLI conference lately, consider coming again. I’ll bet you’ll hear some things you didn’t hear the first time. You’ll understand some truths that you couldn’t handle your first conference. If you’ve never been to an RLI conference, now is a good time to come!

Check the conference schedule and clear your calendar. The next conference starts on September 9 in Loveland, OH.  We’ll save a seat for you!
